Silent Waters Stand Still, The

Lyrics

Dead of night
Raging storms with a feast of light
Winds blow through a cool moonlight
And the silent waters stand still again

Set me free
Let my soul float
On a breeze
Through a warm sunny day

Yet shackles hold me
At midnights strike
With the force of a hurricane
And a firestorms delight

Dead of night
Raging storms with a feast of light
Winds blow through a cool moonlight
And the silent waters stand still again

Hell hath no fury
Like Heaven’s sunny wrath
Shining down upon me
Piercing this blackened pool

Silent waters standing still
Yet bubbling with rage
Like the blood that once boiled
Through my veins

Dead of night
Raging storms with a feast of light
Winds blow through a cool moonlight
And the silent waters stand still again

I lie here in my watery grave
A blackened pool of murderous deceit
And yet, the silent waters
Stand still again

Interpretation

This song slowly developes into telling the tale of a murder victim.
In death they are finding themselves trapped, but at the same time learning to
become one with nature.
